Our people

Hannah Kelly

Hannah is the Principal Solicitor at KFL. Hannah has been a family law solicitor looking after clients in the local area for over 20 years. She has previously worked for Pinney Talfourd Solicitors, Palmers Solicitors (where she was a partner and head of the family law department) and E J Coombs Solicitors. Hannah is accredited by Resolution as a specialist family lawyer with specialisms in complex financial remedies and private children law.  Hannah is also an accredited member of the Law Society family law scheme and a trained collaborative practitioner.

Hannah’s clients come from all walks of life. She has acted for clients as diverse as a partner at a “big four” accountancy firm, entrepreneurs and small business owners, doctors, police officers, tradespeople and more.

Hannah is married with two young children. When she occasionally does get some spare time, Hannah is interested in keeping fit and enjoys walks in the countryside.

Fran Gomez

Fran is our legal secretary at KFL. Fran has 9 years of experience working at solicitors firms. Fran worked at Dadds Solicitors followed by EJ Coombs Solicitors for a couple of years before joining KFL in April 2021.

As well as being hugely well-organised, Fran is understanding and patient. Clients have said that they feel comfortable talking to her (especially when emotional) and have found her to be calming and helpful. She has previously been described by a client as “more human than people at other firms, who seemed cold and uncaring.”

Fran’s real passion is dance. Every week, she spends time during evenings and weekends teaching dance to children and has been dancing for 20 years. She qualified as a teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance in 2017.

Jake May

Jake is the managing director at KFL. Having worked in the insurance industry in the City for over 15 years, Jake wanted a new challenge with a more favourable work/life balance (and without 2 hours per day spent travelling).

Jake runs the business side of KFL. This includes everything from accounting & finance to recruitment and employee well-being. Jake is practical and solution-oriented and believes that KFL’s approach to flexible working is second to none and makes us a much better choice than our competitors, both for our staff and our clients.

Outside work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. Having previously founded a mentoring scheme, Jake continues to act as a mentor to young people starting careers in the City and anyone considering a career change of direction.
